(Driving while intoxicated) the operation of a motor vehicle while intoxicated (under the influence of alcohol to the point of impaired control over one’s conscious faculties).   In Pennsylvania, an impaired person’s blood-alcohol concentration is 0.08 percent or above (0.01 percent for a minor). This term also covers driving while under the influence of drugs.
